In a nutshell

Problem

Client was looking to build a brand new EMR (or EHR) for Nursing home market in USA. They needed a team with health care domain knowledge and prior experience in building EMR.

Solution

We had developed EMR for Clinics in USA. But it would not have worked in Nursing Home settings. So we started again with a blank piece of paper and a set of clear objectives to design software that eliminated these barriers, solved the problems and achieved the objectives of nursing home facilities.

Architecture

Three Tier architecture, where front end is a VB.Net based Windows Application, the middle tier is ASP.Net web services which are connected with front end through Delegate Pattern and Front Controller Pattern. The Web Service is developed using Command Pattern. The back-end is SQL Server 2000 Database.
